Fiam - Mirage TV 43" 160x90

"The metal profile creates a gap of about 5 cm from the wall to create a shadow between the wall and the mirror. This is where the complexity of the design comes about, where the light and reflection of the glass overlap the shadow of the frame, creating a unique refraction game that transforms glass from a simple two-dimensional element into a real sculptural object."

Mirror with housing for TV. Wall mirror in 5 mm titanium semi-reflective glass with aluminum frame brill finish. Matt black painted metal frame.

Daniel Libeskind

Daniel Libeskind, internationally renowned in the world of architecture and urban design, has designed for FIAM several furniture accessories in curved glass: the mirrors The wing, Mirage and Mirage tv, and the desk Scribe.

Libeskind was born in Poland after the war (1946) and became an American citizen in 1965. After studying music in Israel and New York, becoming an acclaimed soloist, he decided to leave everything to study architecture. He graduated in 1970 from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York and in 1972 he also obtained a Master’s degree in History and Theory of Architecture from the Comparative Studies at Essex University in England.

Daniel Libeskind’s ongoing research to broaden the boundaries of architecture by adopting a multidisciplinary approach reflects his deep interest and involvement in philosophy, art, literature and music. A fundamental point of his approach is the idea that every construction evolves through human energy and consistently addresses the broad cultural context in which it emerges.
Today he lives in New York with his wife and business partner Nina Libeskind.

Vittorio Livi has always had a passion: glass.
The first company he founded, Fullet, produced colored glass for the furniture industry. This was followed by Artiglass, Curvovetro, Cromoglass and Vellutart.
From the merger of some of these companies, FIAM, the first company to make curved glass furniture elements, was born in 1973. Thanks to its technology and collaborations with well-known international designers, FIAM became a leader in its field and some of its products are exhibited in 25 international museums.
After being involved in the renovation of Montegridolfo, a walled village dating back to the 7th century B.C., in 1992 Vittorio Livi acquires and rehabilitates Villa Miralfiore, a historic building in Pesaro dating back to 1260.
Part of the villa is dedicated to Spazio Miralfiore, a museum of glass works produced by Livi and numerous national and international artists.
